Electrical Engineer (Senior/Lead)
To work on large scale Hi Tech projects in Dublin with a leading International consulting Engineers
Ideal candidates: Will have a 3rd level degree + 12 years experience and preferably be chartered and preferably have hi-tech project experience i.e.: Pharmaceutical and or Bio-pharmaceutical and or Data Center and have a proven track record of delivering large scale projects as a Lead Engineer from concept design though to handover including leading teams on site at construction stage as well as having a thorough understanding of Electrical Design Principals for MV and LV Systems including: Switch gear, Protection, SLDs, MCCs, VSDS, Generator, Lighting, Fire and Security.
Project Engineering, Scheduling, Planning and reporting.
Delivery of Electrical Engineering Design to meet budget, schedule and Quality requirements.
Overall project Control and Delivery.
Extensive Electrical Design and Engineering Techniques.
Extensive knowledge and experience of: ETCI Wiring Regulations, IEC Standards and EN Standards.
Duties and Responsibilities in General:
Assume the lead engineers role on assigned projects.
Design Scheduling in line with delivery dates of IFT/IFC packs.
Assign and coordinate work to Engineers, Designers and CAD Designers.
Provide technical direction and on the job training to Designers and Engineers.
Project Control, Cost Estimation, Quantity Take Offs, Manpower requirements for proposals, Forecasts and Change Orders.
Specification, Procurement, Testing & Commissioning of MV & LV Switchgear, Conventional and Intelligent Motor Control Centres, VSDs, Transformers, UPS Systems, Generators, Power Factor Correction Equipment.
MV and LV Power system design.
Executing projects in a multi-discipline, Multi-office 3D Design environment.
Protective relay and metering schemes for power systems & equipment, short circuit calculations & analysis and coordination / discrimination studies.
Design of Electrical Facilities to IS, EN and IEC Standards including Power, Lighting, Cabling, Cable Containment Systems, Cat 5 / Cat 6 Structured wiring, Fire Alarm, Earthling, Lightning Protection.
Familiar with the Design Workflow for Inter-discipline activities Inc.: Process, Mechanical 3D Modelling.
Experience using Microsoft Office Inc.: Access, Excel and Word.
Design tools on this project include: AutoCAD, SKM and Easipower.
