Process Engineer (Dublin) Hi Tech Semiconductor Plant Project
Candidates will have a relevant 3rd level degree in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6+ years experience working as a Process Engineer candidates who have Hi Tech project experience: Semiconductor and or Pharmaceutical are preferred.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, sizing and specification of general or high purity chemical delivery systems (corrosive, toxic, flammable or oxidising, or combinations), the corresponding process waste treatment systems (thermal oxidisers, acid/base water scrubbers, neutralisation, I/X and filtration), and large scale high purity water generation by RO and IX processes.
Skills and Experience:
Strong experience in the design of large high purity process gas systems (inert, toxic, corrosive or combinations) is also desirable.
Experience of leading HAZOP studies, ATEX assessments, and other safety or risk assessment studies is desirable.
Experience with sizing, specifying and evaluating bids for tanks, pumps, fans, and chemical or gas distribution systems highly desirable.
Experience with process safety or release modelling software would be an advantage – PHAST or similar.
Demonstrate an ability to provide high quality work against demanding schedules in a fast changing and complex technical field.
Proven ability to work under pressure and with regular close contact with client, contractors and other design disciplines is required, and an ability to communicate clearly and to recognise, contain and mmanage design change without impact to the project scope or schedule.
Proven ability to work safely and to recognise Hazards in the environment and created by his designs is essential.
A demonstrated ability to work independently, as part of a team or leading a small multi discipline design team (4-8 members).
Proven ability to correctly follow rigid specifications that exactly define what is required or to identify and resolve first of a kind problems where no standard procedure exists.
Proven ability to learn rapidly (using available information or specifications or self-initiated learning) new technologies, new methods and to work productively and effectively in a complex and rapidly changing non-standard process industry.
Tolerance and acceptance of Change, Complexity and Ambiguity in your work assignments and environments, but without impact to agreed scope or schedule.
A demonstrated ability to estimate, organise, scope, plan, negotiate and schedule work assignments – and to own and effectively deliver your part in any agreed work assignment whether as a team member or sole contributor.
Microsoft office use – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience using: AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project It would be an advantage to have experience with fluid flow modelling software – PipeFlo or similar.
This role is Contract FOR Services and hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
