Civil Project Engineer
kppm are currently looking to recruit a civil project engineer to work on Civil Infrastructure: Roads, Transport, Recreation trails (Public Sector Projects) for our client: a long established multi award winning, multidisciplinary consulting engineers within their very strong team of Civil Engineering professional team working on large scale Civil Engineering Design and Build projects for essential infrastructure in Ireland both Urban and Rural.
Hybrid working options or office based at various locations including Dublin, Galway, Limerick, or Clare.
Suitable applicants will have:
- Minimum level 8 Civil Engineering qualification.
- Knowledge of transport design codes and standards within Ireland is essential
- Knowledge of DMURS, Traffic Signs Manual and the National Cycle Manual is essential
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent IT skills to include MS Office, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience with public realm projects including Road Designs, Greenways and active travel schemes.
- Experience with relevant software package such as MicroDrainage or similar drainage design software would be a distinct advantage.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts such as GCCC Forms of Contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical delivery (design and management) of projects in the Civil Infrastructure / Public Realm / Recreational Trail sectors.
Preparation and review of designs, reports and surveys.
Preparation of Drawings to a high standard using packages such as AutoCAD and/or Civil3D is a requirement (MX Roads and/or ArcGIS is optional).
Coordination and liaison with Clients and Regulatory Agencies.
Procurement of Site Investigation, Civil Engineering Works including preparation of Specifications, Drawings and Bills of Quantities.
Project Management and contract administration of the projects to ensure that design requirements, project schedules and project budgets are achieved
Remuneration Package: Negotiable and will depend on experience.
