Job Description

Senior Contracts Manager (Galway)

Requirements

  • A minimum 7+ years’ experience in construction on public works projects
  • A minimum 5 years in management
  • Must have a degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget & to specification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS legislation & regulations
  • Self-motivated, hardworking & driven
  • Excellent negotiation skills essential
  • Ability to manage, motivate, supervise, evaluate, coach, train & develop team
  • Good contractual & commercial awareness
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and inhouse staff
  • A key leader in the development and growth of the company
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional & efficient manner
  • Familiar with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of MS Project, forms of Contract & Building Regulations

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the company’s quality standards and procedures and adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety
  • EHS Management
  • Site set up, appearance and management
  • Quality, Cost, Progress and Programme
  • Management of all resources – subcontractors, materials, staff
  • Relations with client, design team and others
  • Undertake regular formal inspections of sites and consultants work in accordance with company policy
  • Prepare progress reports and technical reports for clients and for internal use
