Estimator – Senior Level – (Dublin)

Kppm are looking to recruit an Estimator (Senior Level) for our client one of the leading Construction Companies in Ireland with a strong focus on client satisfaction working with clients on their construction projects in the following industries: Commercial/Mixed Use, Retail, Large Scale Residential, Healthcare, Educational and Hotel and Leisure, New builds, Refurbishments and Restoration. 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will prepare and manage the preparation of timely detailed and robust cost estimates in support of tender bids being developed and submitted during the tender process for a project.

Duties will include preparing and collating accurate, detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and other information so as to secure profitable work orders.  This involves sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations, analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification and seeking clarification where necessary.

The successful candidate will assist in the ongoing development of systems and procedures used in tendering and will keep up to date with contractual changes and other developments in the construction industry.   They will work both in a team and on their own initiative and will have excellent IT skills include familiarity with MS office applications including Excel.

Education & Experience

·          Suitable candidates must have a 3rd level Degree in Construction Economics / QS or a related discipline.

·          Minimum of 10 years estimating experience with a Construction Main Contractor. 

·          Excellent time management skills and must be able to complete projects before deadlines.

·          Strong analytical skills.

·          Excellent communication and presentation skills.

This is a full time staff position and salary is €Negotiable depending on experience.
