Civil / GIS Design Engineer (Graduate Level).  Kppm are currently looking to recruit a graduate level GIS / Civil Engineer for our client a leading consulting engineers with offices throughout Ireland.

 Suitable applicant key requirements include:

• Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Geography, GIS, Science related subject or equivalent.
• Sound understanding of hydrological processes and analysis techniques.
• Experience in flood modelling software (HEC RAS 1D/2D, or Flood Modeller) advantageous.
• Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems such as QGIS, MapInfo or ArcGIS is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong report writing ability.
• Good client liaison skills.
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills.

Role & Responsibilities  As a member of the Civil | Design Build | Water Team, the Graduate Design Engineer will be required to undertake the following duties:

• Provision of hydraulic modelling input to projects (primarily related to flood risk management and drainage design projects).
• Preparation of preliminary designs and reports (primarily related to flood risk management and drainage designs).
• Technical report writing.
• Contribute to the project team on a day-to-day basis.
• Support technical development of others in the team.
