Job Description

Interior Architect – (Dublin)

Kppm are looking to recruit an Interior Architect (Dublin) for our client an award-winning construction company who specialise in the Fit-Out of high-end commercial office buildings, retail, to heavy industrial data centres.

You will report to the Head of Design and work with an excellent team of designers in the architectural process.

Responsibilities

·         Work with existing drawings or carry out site surveys of existing buildings 

·         Understand and evaluate client briefs and translate them into plan layouts and look and feel of new concept designs 

·         Create variety of test fit drawing options to show different ways of achieving a design brief 

·         Prepare and develop architectural drawings & specifications 

·         Develop strong concept designs in drawings, mood boards and 3d renders and present confidently to clients 

·         Understand client feedback and implement changes 

·         Manage the selection, budgeting, scheduling and procurement of FF&E products 

·         Research new materials, and check their suitability for durability and technical compliance 

·         Carry out site inspections, observe and comment on quality of workmanship and create snag lists

Education & Experience

·         Suitable candidates must have a Degree in Architecture / Interior Architecture / Interior Design and proven track record of working successfully on interior fitout-projects

·         You must have proven experience of being responsible for commercial fit-out projects from inception to completion for a period of at least 3-5 years 

·         An RIAI Part 3 qualification and membership with the RIAI would be of huge benefit

·         LEED accreditation and knowledge of sustainable building practices would be of advantage

·         Excellent skills in 2d Autocad, Adobe Creative suite, MS Office suite, Sketchup, 3d rendering programs ( office currently uses Enscape)

·         Skills in BIM / Revit of great advantage as the office is planning to transition fully to 3D

·         Demonstrate exceptional design, coordination and management skills with high attention to detail

This is a full time staff position and salary is €Negotiable depending on experience.
