Job Description

Suitable candidate minimum requirements: Will have a 3rd level diploma or preferably a degree Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering plus a minimum of 3+ years experience of: HVAC, Hot and Cold Water Systems Design on large scale Hi Tech Projects: Semiconductor and or Pharmaceutical and or Datacentre.  Preferably: Semiconductor.

Experience of: BIM,  Design Calculations software and Computerised Building Management Systems

Health and safety Legislations

Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative

Current full driving licence.

Role:  The primary purpose of the role is to assist the Engineering team in achieving the objectives of the company with respect to Mechanical Engineering designs for Base Build, Layout Development and Tool install for a Semiconductor projects to ensure maximum commercial and technical effectiveness and efficiency is maintained.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Based on plan of record and reference Designs, develop Engineering plans, sections and details for complex projects involving the design of utilities and HVAC (Wet / Dry) Systems for institutional facilities.
  • Activity update and refine Safety in Design Risk Assessments, specifications and checklists as related to the Mechanical Engineering Discipline
  • Responsible for safety posture and results for areas of responsibility on projects.
  • Ensure that company safety policies and site specific plans are proactively communicated and consistently enforced where needed on each project.
  • Work collaboratively and utilize EHS Staff as a resource for strategic and tactical implementation of EHS processes and procedures
  • Participate in CERT and HAZMAT training and teams as required.
  • Developing detailed Mechanical / HVAC construction drawings using architectural and or Industrial Engineering background layouts and system performance requirements defined by mechanical engineer.
  • Work with clients and peers to find optimum system sizing, routing, materials and space management for complex ductwork and piping systems.
  • Preparing detailed plans, sections and installation details to define the mechanical contractors scope of work for bidding and permitting purposes.

Remuneration:    Salary Package is negotiable depending on experience.
