Mechanical Engineer (Dublin) Data Centre Project Experience.

kppm have partnered with a multi award winning consulting engineers in Ireland  to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on HVAC Design for mission critical Data Center projects.

Suitable applicants will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering preferably Building Services Engineering plus a minimum of 5+ years experience working as a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer and a minimum of 3 years working on Mission Critical Data Centre Projects.

The Key attributes we are looking for candidates to have are:

  1. You will have completed mechanical HVAC design for a mission critical facility with minimal oversight from a more senior engineer.
  2. You will have an understanding of Building Management Systems and Sequence of Operation development.
  3. You will understand psychometrics for cooling load evaluations.
  4. You will understand redundancy in plant and distribution systems and can identify single points of failure.
  5. You can attend Client meetings and present information clearly and concisely.
  6. You will have strong communication skills.
  7. You are capable of managing multiple tasks.
  8. You can prioritise and delegate as necessary.

The role is to work on  mechanical data center design projects in Global Tech, along with a team of project engineers. Our client has projects based across Europe, being delivered from Ireland so  minimal travel needed to site.

Our clients intention  is to double its already strong  team in line with growth in the next 3-5 years and this is an opportunity to develop into a very senior role leading the Data Centre delivery over this time.

The team works closely with all  Data Centre teams who knowledge share and  technical development training is continuous to assist engineers grow to leaders within the team.


We would also consider  somebody who has strong Mechanical detailed HVACE design experience  and proven experience working in busy  M&E  consultancy’s and who has a keen interest in progressing their career to work on Mission Critical Data Center projects as  our client is willing to train the right person up  on Data Centres.
