Payroll Coordinator (Dublin)

Responsible for the successful, accurate and on-time execution of payroll processing, legal filings and reporting for all employees across of a large international Engineering and Construction companies Northern Europe entities.

Suitable Candidates will have as a Minimum:
A recognised qualification: Accounts technician / IPass / accountancy qualification, or equivalent plus 3 years’ experience in a similar role – UK payroll would be a distinct advantage
Previous experience of working with an outsourced payroll provider, ideally on a global basis
Previous experience of working for a global organisation in a payroll capacity
Excellent attention to detail
Initiative and self-motivated individual
Excellent time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to forum excellent relationships with senior management teams including:
HR, Finance, Outsourced Payroll Provider, Department Managers, Employees, Tax Advisors and Authorities.


Ensure the processes and procedures that are agreed with the outsourced payroll provider for the various legal entities (namely Ireland, UK and Denmark) are executed in order to ensure standard / regular payroll is prepared and processed efficiently on monthly basis allowing for all employees to be paid correctly and on-time.

Responsible for ensuring the agreed processes and procedures that are in place with the outsourced payroll provider, internal stakeholders and external tax advisors for shadow payroll processing on a monthly basis are followed. Ensuring all employees have been captured, with accurate reporting allowing for the outsourced payroll provider to run payroll effectively and on-time.

Managing and maintaining the internal employee management system to ensure all payroll related employee data is 100% accurate with the correct processes in place to ensure all data changes are captured efficiently

Build relationships with the internal and external tax advisors to ensure all topics relating to the associated country legislation is reviewed and checked on a regular basis to ensure compliance at all times.

Accountable for the stakeholder management with the various functions, namely Finance and HR. Working closely with HR to investigate and resolve employee payroll queries and supporting ad hoc payroll issues in a timely manner. Following the outsourced payroll providers submissions to process payroll, responsible for checking and approving all is correct and accurate for payments to be made.

Having an understanding of a Finance system (ideally SAP) in order to support with the monthly reconciliations following the payroll cycles.

Accountable for ensuring all monthly employee benefits are administered effectively including pensions, holiday payments and all other employee related benefits.

Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in payroll records working with the relevant parties . Maintains a continuous improvement approach to ensure errors are minimised and reoccurrences eliminated.

Produces accurate monthly reports inclusive of payments and deductions for all payroll related activities. Working closely with the Finance team to support with all necessary reports weekly, monthly and annual.

Having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of in-country tax requirements, responsibilities, administering the tasks as, and when required, ensuring all deadlines are achieved.

Liaises with the company tax advisors for all employee’s on international assignments in Ireland/Denmark to ensure compliance on international taxes, exclusion orders and relevant tax registration as required.

Responsible for the managing, uploading and making payments as required into all local government portals.
