Process Chemical Engineer (Design & P.M) for a role based in Kildare

Kppm are looking to recruit a dynamic process / Chemical Design engineer with strong design and project management experience working on large sale Hi Tech Projects i.e.: Semiconductor and or Pharmaceutical / Biopharma and or Data Centre.  Working and Coordination with multidisciplinary teams including: Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical to develop design.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects.

A professional who understands the importance of meeting your targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast paced environment.

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience on large scale Hi Tech projects. You will be Chartered or working towards chartership.

Role / Responsibilities:

Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.

Take responsible charge of the process design, including technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of construction documents.

Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as mechanical, structural, architectural and Electrical to develop designs.

Analyze and design complex systems, including:

  • Planar Chemical
  • Bulk Chemical
  • Specialty gases
  • Bulk gas systems
  • UPW systems
  • Waste water systems

Manage Process Design Development through standard process design documentation including PFD and P&IDs.

Responsibility for up front site selection and due diligence activities.

Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.

Familiar with HAZOP studies and ATEX requirements.

Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.

Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.

Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.

You will be part of a dynamic multi disciplined team who deliver hi tech hi spec complex projects from concept design through to  project hand over.
