Job Description

Product Engineer (Ireland)  The successful candidate will join a excellent Engineering team to take responsibility for reliability analysis and product engineering for the ever-expanding product range.

You will be required to develop an in-depth knowledge of how they work, drive improvement indicatives, perform analysis of complex problems and incorporate feedback from our customers, communicating with our commissioning, design and controls teams to further develop our product. When issues are uncovered, you will also be deeply involved in root cause analysis of said issues and working with the relevant departments to see the investigation process through to completion. Maintaining accurate KPIs and dashboards relevant to product performance and reliability is critical. To ensure success as a Product Engineer you should have a strong engineering background with demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.  You will need to be an organized individual and with the ability to bring others along with you.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experiential learning (essential). Experience in root cause analyses.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including strong report writing skills.
  • Experience demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • High degree of competency in Technical Writing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare, evaluate, and implement change management procedures to reduce risk brought about by required changes to products or processes.
  • Investigate the root cause of platform level customer satisfaction issues using engineering principals, data analytics, and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, Ishikawa diagram and fault tree analysis and report on same.
  • Design and implement solutions to address the root cause of identified through problem-solving methods.
  • Use your flexibility, creativity, ability to quickly learn new concepts and persistence to resolve a wide variety of engineering issues.
  • You participate in project teams that may cross multiple disciplines within the wider Engineering team.
  • You will solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions; take a new perspective using existing solutions. May lead multi-disciplined problem-solving team.
  • Assist in the production and maintenance of product related documentation.
  • Receive feedback on product performance from all stakeholders and work with Engineering teams to continuously improve the product and processes.
  • Use customer insight gained to contribute to new product development and identifying technical issues.
  • Perform data analysis to characterize issues within our product portfolio and to direct design and process changes to improve our products.
  • Diagnose and investigate field issues arising out of customer complaints. Solve product safety, quality & performance issues experienced in the clinical environment with thorough root cause analysis.
  • Drive Product Lifecycle Management activities.

This is a fulltime Position with a hybrid working model with the office base being in Co. Meath.  This can be offered as either a Full time staff post or as a Contract FOR Services (Ltd Co.) and Salary or Rate is negotiable depending on experience
