Job Description

kppm are looking to recruitment a project manager for our client an Irish owned global Engineering and Construction leader.  Due to increased business and heavy investment with their international hi tech industry sector clients working on the following large scale hi tech industry projects throughout Ireland:  Pharmaceutical,  Data Centre and Semiconductor.

Suitable applicants:  Will a relevant 3RD level Engineering Degree: MEP / Professional qualified ideally chartered plus a minimum 10 years experience working as a project Manager  with a minimum  of 6+ years hi tech project experience in Ireland including: Pharmaceutical and or Biopharmaceutical projects and experience must include strong knowledge of GMP Regulations or candidates who have and or Datacenter and or Semiconductor project experience.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects on time and within budget

A High level of computer literacy required in Smart 3 D BIM, AutoCAD & Smart Project Management

Energetic committed self-reliant individual

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Ability to work in a flexible way when necessary.

Candidates will have suitable experience to perform in the role of Project Manager including: Pharmaceutical / Biopharmaceutical / Hitech Industrial & Data Center projects from Design stage through to Construction through to Commissioning and hand over stages.

Day to Day Project Management Activities associated with the delivery of Design & Construction Best Practice in Safety (PSDS & PSCS) – Irish design & Construction standards and regulations.

Health and Safety delivery  for all stakeholders including Health & Safety and environmental Management Programs  on the Projects including the implementation of a Structures and Protocols to ensure that safe work practices are always followed and zero accident incidences are maintained. (This includes COVID 19 implementation of Safe management and Protocols in line with Company and Government Guidelines).

Continuously evaluate and confirm the capability of site wide systems, components, and applications.

Provide engineering information and prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.

Liaise with equipment suppliers in order to ensure that the site is supplied with best in class equipment and support commissioning and de-commissioning of plant and equipment.

Provide audit support on process and plant areas as appropriate.

Help manage the Engineering Documentation archive and ensure that all engineering documentation is appropriately indexed, filed and tagged.

Assist in budgetary preparation and management.

Engage in programs such as 5S and other lean manufacturing initiatives.

Delegate for Engineering Manager when required.

Facilitate, Manage and Collaborate with Client, Project Team and Supply Chain to all Stakeholders as required.

Projects must be Planned and delivered Strategically with best Practices for all the stakeholders within Budget and on schedule.

Deliver projects on time and within budget and manage the contract and manage including changes to limit risk of all the Stakeholders (Client, Interfacing Contractors, Supply Chain Manufacturers and Subcontractors/Service Providers and other Discipline Professionals).

Establish a site-specific execution framework to satisfactory delivery that promotes the safety, quality, security, productivity, schedule, cost control, and profitability of the project along with a Satisfied Customer.

Manage all aspects of assigned engineering projects (project feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and projections, HAZOP analysis, project proposal and presentation, securing approval, scheduling and project management, contractor selection, site co-ordination and supervision, progress monitoring & reporting, cost management and control, training, procedure development, commissioning and , documentation, final handover and any other associated responsibilities.

In this role you are expected to create with the Company Management the Project Business Plan inclusive of the Clients Project Contracted Deliverables and implement, administer and maintain the following but not limited to:

  • Prepare and implement project plan, standards and procedures in accordance with company, client and project requirements.
  • Project Systems & Procedures.
  • Company Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Project Execution Plan, control & reporting.
  • Communications, information & document Control inclusive of BIM Module.
  • Contracts & Change Control Management between all Stakeholders including Client, Interfacing Contractors, Supply Chain Manufacturers and Subcontractors/Service Providers and other Discipline Professionals.

Experience in establishing a team to Lead and Perform Basic, Detailed and Design Experience including Value Engineering and production of Shop Drawings,  As Built Drawings & BIM Model Update with other Collaboration Professionals.

Deliver the High-Quality Project Team Capable of quickly familiarizing with all Client standards, specifications and other FDA regulations to Design and Deliver and Manage the Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning and Handover Activities in line with  best practice CGMP.

Implement Realtime smart enablement of BIM enabled smart Data within the Project Management and Delivery Function.

Effectively delegate tasks and work activities to BIM and electrical engineers and acting as mentor to junior engineers.

Perform and aid in Constructability reviews with client and commissioning teams.

Complete designs allowing for Commissionability of systems in line with project commissioning plan.

Have a Proactive Lean and Modularized Approach to Implement Engineering & Construction, Commissioning including accommodating the Clients Future Operability & Maintainability in accordance with overall Project Management Plan.

Proactive solution Driven approach to Coordination, Interface Collaboration with other Project delivery Collaboration Stakeholders (Client, Architects, Engineers, Supply Chain, etc).

Ensure all Plant, Equipment & Systems and perform Technical Performance Evaluations against Specification, regulations and Codes for the Project in order to meet the Operational  Plant, System Performance Criteria and Warranty Requirements.

Familiar with Smart 3D Design BIM Tools such as Primavera Planning, REVIT, Navisworks and other Smart Project Management Tools.
