Job Description

Senior Civil Design Engineer (Dublin)

Minimum Criteria: Suitable applicants will have a 3rd level degree in Civil Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years experience working as a Civil Engineer preferably chartered or in the process of becoming chartered and be interested in an opportunity to apply your creative skills on high profile projects.

Strengths/Experience:

  • civil engineering design
  • Drainage schemes associated with buildings, roads, public realm and landscape projects
  • Highway and pavement design associated with building projects
  • SuDs design systems
  • Flood risk assessments
  • Good knowledge of civil engineering construction principles, design standards and legislation
  • Strong practical knowledge of Civils 3D, PDS, AutoCAD and WINDES.
  • You will have experience and enjoy expressing creative ideas through sketching and have the proven ability to communicate effectively building firm working relationships with architects, engineers, clients and contractors.
  • You will have an excellent technical aptitude and strong IT skills.
  • Proven ability to take the lead on technical issues and have a collaborative team-working style.

  • Development of client relationships

  • Organised and methodical with particular attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Have a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem solving techniques.
  • Be commercially aware.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships at all levels with clients and employees alike and across all professional disciplines.
  • Able to manage Client expectation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
