Systems Engineer  / Electrical Control Panels on Standby Power Supply Generators

An exciting opportunity with our client for a Systems Engineer to join their team at their state of the art facility in Dublin.  To work with our client who supply power generator packages to their clients for Power Supply back up including Datacenters, Shopping Centers, Hospital etc.  You will lease with end user clients, Engineers and Sales teams in relation to Technical Support for client approval in relation to design and delivery of projects to agreed specification, safety, and performance standards.

 

Suitable Applicants will have  An Electrical Qualification Plus a minimum of 2 x years experience in the following:

  • 2D Drafting Electrical Schematics for LV/PLC Panels
  • Experience designing LV panels and PLC panels  (1ph/3ph Distribution Board panel, PLC control panel etc).
  • Ability to design internal layout of the panel with all relevant protections, electrical modules and terminations.
  • PLC Programming.

Also:  A good knowledge of all BUS protocols,  MODBUS RTU, TCP/IP.  A good knowledge of any controller trouble shooting procedures and steaps and  You will have worked with multidiscipline engineering teams including: Mechanical, Process, Civil & Structural

 

 

About the role

Work with sales and project engineering to provide technical feedback into the sales proposal.

Ensure the engineering solutions created are workable and deliverable within the overall build.

Clarify customer expectations and ensure, in consultation with Lead Engineer and site services, that the project requirements can be met to agreed timelines and within cost, quality and safety standards.

Work with Project Engineers in developing the project execution plans and programmes.

Produce work schedules and ensures they accurately reflect the costs of the specialist engineering resource allocated in the project.

Ensure consideration of risk, which reflects in planning.

Provide technical expertise, identify and resolve engineering issues that could impact on completion.

Work with the Quality Assurance Engineer through the design approval process.

Amend and improve designs where compliance issues are identified and ensure design changes are reflected in the project documentation.
