Town Planner / Senior Planning Consultant  – Dublin (City location).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Consultant to join our clients expanding  Dublin office Who work on a broad variety of client work with an increasingly strong presence in the renewables and energy sector in Ireland.  This is a great opportunity to progress your career in a very reputable  Planning consultancy and a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the most important projects in Ireland.

Suitable candidates should have an IPI / RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning and a minimum of 4+  years post-graduate professional experience.

Planning Applications.  Prepare – Submit – Manage.

Planning Policy Development. Advising – Forecasting – Presenting – Reporting – Client Interfacing.

Stakeholder Engagement. Consultation Strategy – Preparing for Consultations – Coordination.

The following core skills are also required:

  • Excellent IT skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet strict deadlines

The successful applicant will need strong Project Management skills to manage planning applications / appeals, planning appraisals and development plan submissions.

Attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

A demonstrable track record in managing projects from inception to completion will be expected, and experience in energy and infrastructure related work will be a distinct advantage (but not essential).

Applicants must also possess a driving license and have access to a car to allow them to carry out their duties in the position.
