Job Description

Lead Architect  (Dublin or Cork / Hybrid)- Pharmaceutical / Hi Tech Industry Projects.  This is a Fantastic opportunity for a lead Architect to work in the role of Lead Architect on large scale Pharmaceutical and Hi Tech industry technical buildings.

The team is seeking a person who understands the importance of meeting their targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast paced environment of their clients sites and willing to develop within a dynamic environment.

Working on large scale Pharmaceutical and Hit Tech industry  Projects for their clients include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects.

You will have a strong understanding of local permitting legislation, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.

Suitable applicants will have:

  • A 3rd level degree in Architecture and have a minimum of 10 years experience leading on large scale projects for Pharmaceutical and Hi Tech industry technical buildings.
  • Lead large teams working remotely and at the office.
  • Experience to independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multidiscipline designers including Civil/Structural, Process, Electrical and Mechanical preform/coordinate Architectural design work across all disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
  • Ability to interact with engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
  • Experience being proactive at all stages of project delivery (Schematic design, site master planning, design development & construction).
  • Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Architectural deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
  • Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects.
  • Develop designer effort-hour estimates for Architectural discipline.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • High degree of proficiency and speed in AutoCAD and Revit
  • An understanding of local permitting legislation, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in equipment layout definition.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).
  • Experience using REVIT and BIM desirable.
  • Familiar with BCaR.
  • Excellent English level – written and spoken.

This is long term contract role with our client one of the largest global multidisciplinary design and project management consultancy throughout the globe.  Hourly rate: € Negotiable depending on experience.
