Site Manager – Senior Level –  (Co. Wicklow)

kppm are looking to recruit a Site Manager – Senior Level for our client a leader in residential housing developments. Our client have been at the forefront of modern, quality homes with a focus on design and functionality.

Responsibilities:

·         Good timekeeping and sets good example to all workers on site.

·         Responsible for Health & Safety on site.

·         Ensure welfare facilities and housekeeping are maintained to acceptable standard.

·         Adherence to Construction Programme for duration of the works.

·         Responsibility for the completion of the project in line with programme and budget.

·         Responsibility for Quality Control of all aspects of the construction project.

·         Liaison with company technical coordinator to ensure appropriate certification/DoP’s are in place for all materials to be incorporated into the works.

·         Reporting design team issues and changes to the Project Manager, and/or Quantity Surveyor.

·         Responsible for coordinating all members of the management team directly reporting.

·         Attendance at weekly internal progress meetings and white board meetings as arranged by the Project Manager.

·         Ensuring all materials are ordered in advance of trades and delivered to the correct location on site. This is done by informing site clerk of requisites.

·         Uploading progress photos on a daily basis to SharePoint.

·         Issuing ‘Site Works’ (or other management system) reports to SharePoint.

·         Supervision of all direct/agency labour to ensure optimum output from these resources. Off-hiring of agency staff when finished and recording/reporting of same to Project Manager/Project QS.

·         Ensuring that the Snagging and de-snagging of all internal fit our works through to Build completion is implemented in line with the Snagging and Customer Services protocol.

·         Ensuring that the Snagging and de-snagging of Purchaser snagging reports is implemented in line with the Snagging and Customer Services protocol.

·         Ensuring the closing out Purchaser defects is implemented in line with the Snagging and Customer Services protocol while still on site.

·         Responsible for all internal fit out works and specific works packages and communication and issuing of instructions to sub-contractors responsible for the works including the following:

o   Site clearance                                    

o   Roofers

o   Groundworks to floors            

o   Windows

o   Site development                        

o   External Insulation

o   Services                                    

o   Fascia & Soffit

o   Roads & Paving            

o   Dropping scaffolding

Education and Experience

·         Successful candidates must have a Trades or Construction Qualification with a minimum of 8+ year’s experience as a Site Manager and must have worked on housing projects: from construction start stage to Handover stage.

·         Candidates will be responsible for complete day to day operations of the site, including the coordination and supervision of onsite personnel and sub-contractors.

·         Maintain Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.

This is a full time staff position and salary is €Negotiable depending on experience.
