Snr. Instrumentation and controls Design Engineer. Dublin City Centre, kppm have an opening for this key role with our clients who are a world leader in the design of hi-tech projects including:* Datacentre * Pharmaceutical/Life science * Oil & Gas * Large scale commercial build environment* across: * MEP * Sustainability * ICT * Process *
As a senior instrumentation and controls engineer you will be involved in the following range of projects: Data centres, industrial, commercial, Oil and Gas & Pharma. Reporting to the associate electrical engineer.
Duties:
- Manage full instrumentation and controls design on projects of all sizes.
- Fulfil I&C design work as required, ranging from P&ID markups, instrument data sheets, control valve sizing, typical installation detailed I/O lists, ATEX calculations, URS creation (user requirement specifications), control schematics, loop diagrams & PLC / DCS specifications etc.
- Prepare and review I&C drawings.
- Provide quality control where requested for electrical engineering projects.
- Equipment specification.
- Organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules.
- Project cost control.
- Management of both project teams and cross-functional teams within the existing organizational structure.
- Lead change in new technologies.
- Mentor and develop the team.
- Travel to client and project locations as requested to represent the company for meetings, surveys etc.
Suitable Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- B-Eng in electrical / electronics, instrument physics.
- 5 years plus experience in the role of senior I&C engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have a full Irish driving licence.
- Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
This is a key role and can be offered on either Permanent Staff (Preferred) or long term contract for Service Salary/Package or Rate: currently negotiable depending on experience Location: Dublin
