kppm have a fantastic career opportunity with this key role of Technical Director where you will manage and plan the workload of the Electrical and I&C Groups for our client who are a world leader in the design of hi-tech projects including: * Datacentre * Pharmaceutical/Life science * Oil & Gas * Large scale commercial build environment* across: * MEP * Sustainability * ICT * Process *
Duties:
- Manage and plan the workload of the electrical plus I&C group.
- Provide weekly schedules / updates as to wins and losses including individual man-loader updates.
- Liaise with the Project Managers to get updates of new projects and scopes.
- Create basis of design for all new projects.
- Create basis of estimates for all new projects.
- Fulfil electrical design work as required, ranging from electrical building services up to MV topology when required.
- SME for the team along with the electrical principal engineers.
- Liaising with other disciplines.
- Ensure QA / QC is completed on all projects.
- Polices the project folders to ensure compliance.
- Runs weekly group meetings.
- Delivering to agreed budgets and schedules.
- Travel to client and project locations as requested to represent the company for meetings, surveys etc.
Suitable Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Relevant 3rd level engineering degree preferably Electrical plus 10 years or more experience working as a principal engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
- Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in the following software, Dialux, Amtech (trimble) Etap, Eracs Cdegs etc. (and be able to provide training to others within the group).
- Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
- Full Irish driving licence.
This is a key role and can be offered on a Permanent Staff basis only. Salary/Package: currently negotiable depending on experience. Location: Dublin
