Associate Electrical Engineer – Dublin
Kppm are looking to recruit an Associate Electrical Engineer for our client who are a multi‐award winning global player, delivering mission‐critical and energy‐efficient solutions across a broad range of industries : Data centres, Commercial and industrial, Hospitals & Hotels, Pharmaceuticals, Oil and gas, Beverages & soft drinks industries, Transmission station design and Power plants
You will report to the Regional Director
This is a full‐time position with a hybrid working model based in their Dublin office.
Responsibilities
· Design of critical power distribution systems, PLC based control panels and energy monitoring systems.
· Assemble document packages and develop drawing sets to be reviewed by Senior Electrical and Automation Engineers for various Control systems and UPS systems.
· Electrical services drawings (lighting, motive power, lightning protection, earth etc.)
· Discrimination studies.
· Prepare detailed electrical schematics for Control Panels as well as Mechanical layout drawings.
· Application of relevant international design standards to all design projects. (e.g. IEC 61439, UL 508A)
· Prepare single line diagrams (LV + MV).
· Prepare detailed BOQ’s.
· Interact with Engineering and Automation / instruments personnel and other staff to resolve identified issues and solve problems.
· Be a player in continuous product improvement.
· Be proficient with the following software, ERACS, Amtech, Dialux, SKM, Revit & Navisworks.
· Be proficient in containment design, earthing system design, lighting design cable sizing.
· Commercials preparing estimates, tender bit analysis.
· Mentoring Senior and junior engineers.
· Work planning for the group including checking.
· Leading projects and be client facing.
Education & Experience
· Suitable candidates must hold a BSc/BEng in appropriate engineering discipline or have sufficient equivalent experience.
· 12 years plus experience.
· MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalent
· Chartered Eng status
· Previous experience in working with a global consultancy.
· Demonstrated success working to prescribed standards.
· Experience of Building Management Systems would be advantageous, but not essential.
· Experience in instrumentation will be an advantage.
· Have excellent communication skills with a professional approach to work and sharp eye for detail.
· Good team player, but capable of working independently.
· Driving License and access to a vehicle.
· Willingness to travel if required.
· Background in consulting or construction preferred.
· Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
· Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group
