Automation Engineer (Senior Level)  For a role with our client a large-scale international consulting engineers for their team in Dublin.  This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. The Automation Engineer will join early Detailed Design phase for a 1.5 billion Drug Substance Bio facility.

Automation Engineer (Functional Requirements Specification-Make a Batch Workshops)

You will join an existing automation team developing the process control functional requirements specifications (FRS) e.g. Bioreactors (Cell Culture), Clean Utilities and distribution, Media and Buffer Prep, purification, chromatography etc.

The FRS’s will be issued to the Process Control System (PCS) System Integrator (SI) to develop the Software Design Specifications (SDS).

You  will be part of the team reviewing the SDS documents.

Make a Batch Workshops

The Make a Batch workshops shall be facilitated by you and will involve coordinating the workshops to bring a number of stakeholders (listed below) working together to generate the Make A Batch flowcharts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A relevant 3rd Level degree i.e.:  B.Eng. in Computer Science /Mechatronics/Chemical or appropriate science/engineering discipline.  Post Qualification recent relevant experience working as a Process design / Process Control and Automation role in the Pharma/Biotech Project Sector.

EXPERIENCE:  A proven track record in Bio-pharma process and automation projects with experience in Process Descriptions, Process Control Functional Requirements Specifications and or Make a Batch Workshops and Programs.

Experience with various technologies.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:  Good computer-based skills, including Windows knowledge and network architectures, database knowledge beneficial.

Knowledge of DCS, PLC and SCADA systems.

Knowledge of IT / OT and Manufacturing applications and data flows such as Logistics (Warehouse Management Systems), Manufacturing Execution Systems MES, Batch and Historian, IT SAP and Oracle Systems.

General SKILLS

The ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules

Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities is required.

Ability to document own work clearly and precisely.

Monitor activity progress for the project in line with the project objectives, deliverables and timelines and report potential delays including mitigation recommendations.

Leading and Managing teams and stakeholders.

Being part of cross functional teams for of project planning and deployment including collaboration.

Good communication and technical writing skills are a must.

Ability to work in cross-functional team environments, as well as independently.
