Job Description

Electrical & Mechanical Building Services Engineers with strong Data Centre project Experience for project Engineering roles with our client the leading Irish consultancy on the design of M&E services for Data Centre Projects.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A 3rd level degree preferably Building Services (Electrical or Mechanical biased) A minimum of 5+ years experience working in an Engineering Design Consultancy.
  • Experience working on Data Centre Projects.
  • Proven Desing management experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
  • Be capable of taking on project tasks with guidance from senior staff.
  • Experience working in an engineering team to successfully deliver projects.
  • Have the drive for continuous innovation and adoption of emerging technologies.

The role of Project Engineer:
Our client is growing and expanding their team on the back of our successful expansion across EMEA in the exciting world of Hyperscale Data Centre Design.

In the role you will be given the opportunity to work on a range of projects throughout EMEA and be responsible for managing the scope, cost, and schedule of the assigned Projects.

You will also manage the delivery of the key documentation required for a best-practice Project Management including (but not limited to) a detailed Project Execution Plan and programmes and manage the full range of activities associated with the project life cycle from cradle to grave: URS; Concept; Basis of Design; Detailed Design; Construction; Commissioning and Qualification.

In your role you will be required to:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients.
  • Effectively communicate with both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Establish project objectives in line with clients ensuring goals & timelines are achieved.
  • Responsible for project  technical and commercial delivery.
  • Develop project scope requirements.
  • Develop & implement an appropriate project execution strategy.
  • Establish project resource requirements and lead \ motivate the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop & maintain project budgets.
  • Manage the development of project plans with a focus on the achievement of project goals.
  • Provide performance updates/reports views for identification of variances and corrective action.
  • Document management via CDE Platform.
  • Liaise with Senior management with regular project performance status.
  • Demonstrate leadership, teamskills, self-confidence, and effective decision making throughout projects.

Key Knowledge required for the role will include:

Knows where to find relevant knowledge.

Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Software.

Developing skills in relevant software.

Project Management.

Project Planning software.

Construction.
