Job Description

Fit-Out Foreman – Residential Projects (Wicklow)

kppm are looking to recruit an experienced Fit-Out Foreman for our client a leader in residential housing developments. Our client have been at the forefront of modern, quality homes with a focus on design and functionality.

·        You will be responsible for good timekeeping and setting a good example to all workers on site, responsible for Health & Safety on site.

·        You will ensure welfare facilities and housekeeping are maintained to acceptable standard and Good record keeping (electronic)

Responsibilities

·        You must establish a benchmark quality standard for each trade under their supervision and to inspect trade workmanship to assure installation is to the highest standard

·        You will be required to use a document control system to maintain records, observations report and diaries.

·        Communicate clearly and concisely relay relevant information to sub-contractors

·        You will have an ability to review drawings and specifications with sub-contractors ensuring that all information is current and up to date.

·        You will have an ability to read and review construction programmes and to ensure that each sub-contractor is delivering their works in accordance with their given allocation.

·        You should also be able to identify areas of potential and actual delay and work with the trades to recover any slippage which may occur.

Education and Experience

·        Suitable candidates may have a Degree in Construction Management or Trade Qualification (e.g. Carpentry) is desirable.

·        Have a minimum 5 year’s experience in the role Fit-out and new build residential / commercial would be an advantage

·        Excellent timekeeping and record-keeping skills will be invaluable in this role, as you will be required to use electronic document control systems to maintain records, observations, reports, and diaries.

You must have experience in:

·        Mechanical 1st Fix

·        Electrical 1st Fix

·        Fire stopping

·        Plaster-boarding and skimming

·        Painting

This is a full time staff position and salary is €Negotiable depending on experience.
