Lead Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Suitable applicants must have the following minimum qualifications & experience:
B.Eng preferably in Electrical/Electronics or Electrical Controls or possibly Physics, Computer Science or Mechatronics or appropriate science/engineering discipline.
Post Qualification 8+ experience as an Instrument and Controls Engineer and recent relevant experience as an Instrument and Controls Engineer at Senior level working on engineering/projects in the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical industry’s is preferred or Chemical process industry’s.
Experience to include:
A proven track record in Lead Instrument & Controls Roles on large Pharmaceutical and or Biopharmaceutical projects.
Experience with various technologies.
Proven track record of project-based activities in the pharmaceutical industry.
The successful candidate must have strong leadership and planning qualities, be adaptable to change and be comfortable leading cross functional teams delivering to deadlines.
Technical Ability
Scope development and approval
URS / Specification / SOW generation
Equipment specification
To ensure that all new equipment is bought in accordance with appropriate site procedures & regulations.
Project Management Skills
The ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules
Delivering projects on time and on budget.
Experience with equipment procurement.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities is required.
Ability to document own work clearly and precisely
Monitor activity progress for the discipline scope in line with the project objectives, deliverables and timelines and report potential delays including mitigation recommendations
Provide reports on a regular basis for effective communication
Duties/Responsibilities will include:
To lead and work as part of a team and supervising other engineers as required.
Attend meetings and interface regularly with clients, project managers and discipline leads to develop the scope of the project.
Ensure I&C scope is delivered as per the schedule and executed within the available budget.
Develop Basis of Design deliverables such as Specifications, Instrument / IO lists, Panel list and Bill of Materials etc to support +/-10% estimate for the BOD.
Develop Detailed Design deliverables and construction packages for I&C contractors.
Terms:
The role will be based out of our clients Dublin Office with Flexible Working from home options.
The role can be offered on either on a Staff (Salary) or a contract For Services (Hr Rate) and staff is preferred
