Programme Manager /Project Manager (Cork) Engineering on large scale  Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Projects

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in this key role for a leading Global Engineering company who deliver state of the art Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology  projects from concept design stage through to project handover stage  for global end user clients.

Suitable Applicants will have.  

  • A suitable engineering qualification/3rd level engineering degree is preferred and professional experience working as a Project or Program Manager in a client facing role, a knowledge of good project governance and an aptitude for business development.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing and managing large teams of individuals and subcontractors.
  • Experience with managing engineering and/or planning programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in engineering knowledge, leadership, planning, teamwork, decision making, judgement and problem solving.

Further information about the role and the opportunity:

  • This is an opportunity for a Program Manager with experience in Design and Management of Sustaining Capital  improvement programs.
  • You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects in the south of Ireland, you will be responsible for project governance ensuring each project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • You will also be responsible for safety and quality adherence.
  • Our client has built up a continuous portfolio of projects for over a number of years and they now have a need for a portfolio/program manager who can build on the existing portfolio developing a robust project delivery model, support the project team, provide business development to expand and maintain the program and liaise with the client to support them in their Sustaining Capital program.
  • By joining our client’s team, they will harness your expertise as an innovator and business leader to develop strategies to solve their end user client’s challenging needs.
  • As a Program Manager, you’ll work closely across operations, sales, and technology functions providing leadership as they continue to expand their portfolio.
  • Other responsibilities will include client-facing delivery in leadership roles to develop implementation strategies for programs, responsible for overall work progress, technical performance and client and stakeholder satisfaction. You’ll be expected to possess highly collaborative and sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills and finesse.
  • As our client continues to partner across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of their Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. You will commit to supporting and engaging with these teams.

Our client would prefer to hire on a permanent staff basis as this is a key role but they may also consider somebody on a long-term contract basis if that is what the right candidate is looking for.

Remuneration:  Package is negotiable and will be highly desirable for the right candidate.
