Project Manager (HVAC/Mechanical Services) Dublin

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • You will come from a trade initially with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Proven strong experience co-ordinating and managing small to medium size projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within strict timescales.
  • Good people management skills.

 Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of a team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines.
  • Attend Client Meetings, liaising with Design Team to ensure adequate and timely flow of information.
  • Ensuring project profitability. To assist Quantity Surveyors / Account Managers when required.
  • Identify and make available to the Quantity surveyors / Account Manager any additional work outside of contractual requirements.
  • Ability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to Senior Management.
  • Liaising with Project Management to ensure all issues are resolved speedily and efficiently.
  • Ability to administer the contract obligations and meet additional Client requirements. Issue interim and final accounts and progress applications per project and contract requirements.
  • Monthly applications to be all inclusive of accurate re-measures, site changes, day works and any applicable contract claims. Identify escalations, material, or labour, as appropriate.
  • Monitor service performance and ensure a proactive work structure and that installation work is completed within agreed programmed limits.
  • Accountable for labour numbers and attendance.
  • Review Material submittals and construction schedules to ensure construction quality and sustainability.
  • Provide technical support & ensuring high standards of installation and workmanship.
  • Oversee that correct procedures are undertaken during testing and commissioning stages.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contract specification and drawings.
  • Oversee management and supervision of specialist sub-contractors.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts.
  • Ensure payment certificates are processed and payments are made per the agreed sub-contract and procurement terms.
  • Retentions apply as per agreements.
  • Inspect works on a regular basis to ensure necessary and specified quality standards are being achieved.
  • Have a practical understanding of scheduling and the associated commercial implications.
  • Ensure close collaboration with Planning Engineer regarding accuracy of progress reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide necessary detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costing.
  • Ensuring the adherence to safety environmental and quality standards and maintaining all necessary records on site.
  • Oversee QHSE site documentation is kept up to date.
  • Ensure any QHSE audit actions by their due date.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety is first and foremost in all work activities.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with project teams.
  • Set an example of enthusiasm, loyalty, and hard work in the performance of all your duties.

ISO Responsibilities:

  • Comply with QHSE Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
  • Understand and apply company QHSE policies statement in all aspects of your work.
  • Contribute towards achieving company objectives.
  • Ensure that the needs and requirements of internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
  • Help develop and improve internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates, and improvement ideas.

 This is a full-time key staff role and salary/package  is negotiable depending on experience and will include a Vehicle + fuel card.
