Project Manager – Soft Landings – Hospital Project – (Dublin)

Kppm are looking to recruit a Project Manager – Soft Landings for our client a top Building Contractor in Ireland who build, refurbish and extend buildings around the country and cover all sectors – Healthcare, Commercial mixed use, Residential, Industrial, Civic, Leisure, Offices, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Hi-Tech and Data-Centre’s.

Responsibilities

·        Lead and manage the Soft Landings and Aftercare Team

·        Host Monthly/Fortnightly soft-landings meetings with key project stakeholders, capture outputs and use the information discussed to inform pre-completion, soft landings and aftercare activities

·        Coordinate and manage the soft landings process and aftercare activities for major construction projects in conjunction with Construction Team’s, FM Team’s, MEP Commissioning Team’s and Design Team’s

·        Using live digital tracking tools as an aid, prepare monthly Soft-landings report’s and live dashboard’s as required to include topics such as the operation of the facility, technical issues, status of queries and actions, completed tasks and look-a-head tasks.

·        Provide key input into Commissioning and Building Readiness Programme’s

·        Assist our clients with migration and occupation planning into their new facilities and compile plain language guides for occupants to aid in their understanding of the use of the O&M Manual

·        Manage and coordinate the Aftercare Team’s following the handover of facilities to our clients including the establishment of helpdesk’s and communication pathways between facility users and the Aftercare Team

·        Compile and publish data with regard to building performance, particularly relating to energy usage

·        Coordinate the Aftercare Team in the fine-tuning and seasonal commissioning of facilities, partially in conjunction with MEP and BMS specialists

·        Provide assistance to Construction Team’s in the management of post-completion construction defects and ensure a seamless interface for our client’s.

·        Co-ordinate and manage specialist contractors during the Aftercare period

·        Develop and implement a communication and training protocol for Employer related parties

Education & Experience

·        Suitable candidates must hold a Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management or similar.

·        You must have at least 10 years industry experience.

·        You will be an excellent communicator with ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders

·        Can manage data from multiple sources and efficiently compile and summarise information for multiple purposes

·        Can manage and coordinate tasks within the Soft Landings and Aftercare Team

·        You will need strong knowledge of Building Management Systems and Building Systems, particularly mechanical and electrical systems

·        Strong IT skills to influence maximum output from existing management and field software’s and to provide input into the development of or procurement of new management or field software’s from the perspective of the user
