Senior Planner – (Galway)

Kppm are looking to recruit a Senior Planner for our client a top Building Contractor in Ireland who build, refurbish and extend buildings around the country and cover all sectors – Healthcare, Commercial mixed use, Residential, Industrial, Civic, Leisure, Offices, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Hi-Tech and Data-Centre’s.

Responsibilities:

·         Planning using MS Project & Primavera Software or Powerproject

·         Develop tender programmes including resource loading

·         Coordinate schedules with site management, design teams & contractors.

·         Understand & maintain the contract programme

·         Track & monitor progress

·         Develop & monitor KPI’s

·         Project Progress Reporting

·         Subcontractor Progress Monitoring

·         Assist with integration of programmes into BIM models (4d planning)

·         To provide strategic advice for safeguarding, and growth and development.

·         To engage with planning bodies as may be required, including through written submissions.

·         To work as part of a team, including through the flexible allocation of work as it arises.

Education & Experience:

·         Suitable candidates must hold a relevant Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

·         Ideal candidate will have 10+ years previous experience spent in a building planning role. 

·         Ideally the candidate will have planned projects in a variety of building sectors.

·         Excellent computer skills would include – MS Word, P6, Powerproject, Excel, MS Project.

·         Knowledge of 3d and 4d modelling an advantage, but not essential.

·         Good communication Skills and ability to work as part of a fully integrated team is essential

·         Ability to take a multi-disciplined approach to building projects

This is a full time staff position and salary is €Negotiable depending on experience.
