Senior Sustainability Engineer (Dublin 15)

M&E building Services Consultants who are innovative and progressive with a reputation for designing high-quality, energy efficient and low carbon buildings projects for both the Public and Private sector,  projects  include  Educational, Government buildings including museums, Commercial Mixed use , Hotel & Leisure and Residential.

 

As a senior  Sustainability Engineer, you will  join the team and engage with project design teams in developing exciting and innovative energy efficient buildings for the future.

 

Suitable Applicants will have:

Degree in Building Services – Sustainability / Electrical / Mechanical & a minimum of 6 years experience as a Sustainability Engineer

  • Highly proficient in IES VE modelling
  • Proficient in Autocad, Revit and Microsoft packages
  • Good knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Services
  • Good knowledge of Irish Building Regulations
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Full driving licence

 

Main Duties of the role:

  • Conduct dynamic thermal modelling and simulations on a range of projects using IES VE to demonstrate compliance with building regulations.
  • Produce detailed reports on daylight and overheating, energy loads, airflow and energy requirements.
  • Liaise closely with in-house engineers and project design teams in developing optimum building designs.
  • Lead the implementation of the LEED and BREEAM projects.
  • Conduct Life-cycle Assessments (LCAs) using One Click LCA.
  • Prepare technical specifications and drawings.
  • Conduct site inspections.
  • Perform energy surveys.
  • Participate in design team and site meetings and workshops.
  • Prepare non-domestic BER assessments and BER upgrade reports.
