Site Manager – School Project (Dublin 1)

kppm are looking to recruit a Site Manager to work on a new build school project in Dublin 1. Our client work on projects ranging from residential, commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial with clients ranging from government, corporate and private.

You will manage a new build School on a confined space city centre under a Public Works Contract.

Responsibilities:

·        Take charge of the overall site management and supervision of confined space city centre site, including facilities, infrastructure, services and neighbours,

·        Delivery of the job on time, within specification and on budget whilst maintaining high safety, environmental and quality standards.

·        Liaising with Project Manager, QS, Site Personnel, Design Team, Client, Building Services team and all other stakeholders.

·        Comply with the projects operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality, regulations, and safety protocols and BCAR inspection.

·        Oversee main contractor staff, security personnel, and service providers; ensuring their performance, training, and adherence to quality standards.

·        Implementation of daily and weekly programmes together with the issue of programme details to subcontractors.

·        Coordinate progress on site with Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor, with regard to, contractors and vendors, to address their needs, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships.

·        Conduct regular inspections and assessments of the site to identify and step ahead of requirements, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.

·        Manage on site activity to ensure just in time delivery with procurement schedules as scheduled, ensuring effectiveness and value for money.

·        Coordinate fortnightly look ahead and white board meeting daily on time.

·        Management of H&S procedures to the highest standard of compliance.

Requirements:

·        Suitable candidates must have a Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Trade Qualification is essential with 8 + year’s experience.

·        Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role, preferably in Public Works Contract (PWC) projects.

·        In-depth knowledge of building regulations, BCAR and H&S legislation. Setting out concrete framework with brickwork supporting systems experience.

·        Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff and subcontrctors.

·        Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically.

·        Proficiency in using computer software and systems relevant to site management and reporting.

·        Fluent oral and written English a must.
