Structural Engineer – Intermediate Level (Dublin & Cork)

Kppm are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer – Intermediate Level for our client a global provider of engineering who work on Life Sciences projects, pharmaceutical, semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

·         You will be required to work within the structural team under the direction of a lead engineer. 

·         Duties may include undertaking design calculations and reports, attending internal design team meetings, attendance at client review meetings, checking structural drawings, etc. 

·         Be able to produce structural design calculations and reports for specific elements of the project

·         Work with the structural team to assist with the development of the 3d Revit model, and then be able to review and check drawings

·         Actively cooperate with members of your project task force, client personnel and members of your department, as appropriate

·         Understand client expectations, as determined by the team, and constantly strive to achieve or better these

·         Meet commitments that you make to the client, individually or as a team, to complete work by certain dates or within agreed man-hour or cost budgets

Education and Experience

·         Suitable candidates must have a Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.

·         5 years+ experience in the design of building structures

·         Chartered engineer Preferable

·         Technically proficient with Eurocode, BSI and Irish design standards and codes

·         Proficient with structural design softwares (ROBOT/TEKLA Designer, etc)

·         Excellent communications skills

Hybrid working options

This is a Contract for Services role and the hourly rate is €negotiable depending on experience.
