Structural Engineer – Temporary Works Design Engineer  – (Dublin)

Kppm are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer – Temporary Works Design Engineer based in head office Dublin, hybrid after 6 months for our client one of the leading Construction Companies in Ireland with a strong focus on client satisfaction working with clients on their construction projects in the following industries:  Commercial, Educational, Fit Out, Refurbishments, Food Processing, Healthcare, Hotel / Leisure, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Residential and Retail.

The role is initially office based, liaising with multiple project teams, you must be a people person, managing multiple stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

·         Preparation and checking of detailed technical designs for temporary works (including calculations, drawings, risk assessments and design certificates).

·         Undertake preliminary designs for pricing purposes.

·         Propose and/or develop value engineered alternative solutions (during tender or construction phases).

·         Assist with the developing and maintaining processes, procedures, and standards for technical design.

·         Provide technical engineering support to the project teams throughout the project life cycle.

·         Work closely with the Technical Office Team to ensure consistent and efficient working practices.

·         Provide dedicated support on temporary works designs.

·         Liaison with Temporary Works Coordinators, project teams, subcontractors, and proprietary suppliers.

·         Maintain timesheet records for tasks worked on.

Education & Experience

·         Suitable candidates must be a Civil Structural Engineer and hold a relevant 3rd level Degree. Preferably from Structural Engineering

·         Chartered Engineers ideally or aspiration to become Chartered, have to be a strong decision maker with logical methodology, solution provider.

·         Must have design experience – Geotech / concrete / steel / temporary works design /c onstruction engineering.

·         Must be progressive, solutions oriented, collaborative, open dynamic team player.

·         CAD, design teds/ stad pro / design aids exp.

This is a staff position and the salary is €Negotiable depending on experience.
